Borisov Architects at ARCH Moscow2023

May 24, the XXVIII International Exhibition of Architecture and Design "ARCH Moscow" begins its work at Gostiny Dvor. As part of the "Matter of Architecture" curatorial project, Borisov Architects is presenting at this major professional show of Russian architecture four art objects - multifunctional stele-lights, serving both as a supporting structure of the stand and as a comfortable bench for visitors. Each of the objects is made of one of four materials - concrete, natural stone, ceramics or wood - and is designed to reveal its tactile and artistic properties in the most obvious way. In this way the objects are complementing the main exhibitions of the "Matter of Architecture" project (curator: Anna Martovitskaya) which explores the practice of using these fundamental materials in the contemporary Russian architecture. Each of the objects, in turn, is topped by umbrella-type lights, which turn the steles into iconic landmarks in the development of the exhibition.
